Starting Out

This is where I will be tracking my body-hacking and health evolution. This will be boring to most, but for those interested in transhumanism, extropianism, body hacking, longevity, exercise, supplements, and more this could be interesting in several ways: 1) I'll be posting (trying to daily) on my supplementation, exercise techniques, diet, and biomarkers. This will be for others to look into techniques that may work for them, as well as to spark discussion, debate, and hear from others. 2) I'll be posting reviews of supplements, monitoring equipment, and other things I'm using in an attempt to push the culture in a better way. 3) Networking. My goals: Currently I'm overweight, never was earlier in life, and along with rectifying this I am seeking to ensure that I can maximize my health and longevity (see Radical Life Extension, Transhumanism, Extropianism). I am also seeking to recapture a lot of the vitality (physically and cognitively/creatively) which I feel was linked to my better body condition when younger. As well to be more productive in all my ventures. Baseline at the moment: - Weight: 215 lbs - Height: 5'10" - Biological Gender: Male - Age: 34 - Activity level: somewhere between mildly sedentary and mildly active. - Issues: Mild to Serious insomnia, periodic high blood pressure, higher resting heart rate than is optimal, more fat content in body than desired - mostly 'stomach fat'. What you will find here: - Daily dietary intake and analysis of current diet phases/plans - Daily exercise (if any) - Daily supplementation - Subjective account of the day in regards to health and overall 'feel' and productivity - Any health issues experienced. - Updates of biomarkers, weight, BMI, waistline, etc. - Further things I don't have the money for right now (cholesterol tests, physicals, stress tests, blood work, etc) if you like what I do I'll put a paypal donate button up for these tests (not going to take the money and run, I want to have the tests done). What you won't find here: - Over the counter and prescription medication when/if I use it. If you are interested in this please contact me personally and I'll decide on a case by case basis whom to discuss with. Current Supplements: - L-Arginine (powder form mixed with drink) 4,500 mG 1x and later in day one or two administrations of 1x 2,600 mG - Acetyl L-Carnintine: 1,000 mG 2-3 times per day. - Maca root powder (can't remember dosage) 1x day. Equipment: Omicron Blood Pressure monitor. EPOC EEG headset. Ketone test strips. Will be purchasing a heart rate monitor and/or wearable ECG. Access to gym (cardio and resistance equipment) That's all for now, will update on a daily to semi-daily basis.
